Camps
As a member of the Iowa Conference of the United Church of Christ, First Congregational Church, UCC members can participate in activities at the Pilgrim Heights Retreat Center camp in Montour (5 miles west of Tama) off of Highway 30. The camp, located on 127 acres of woodlands alongside a 60-acre lake, includes cabins, a dining and meeting hall, and newly constructed Lodge and sleeping house. On-site activities include hiking, canoes, arts & crafts, archery, fishing, and volleyball.
Youth camps are scheduled throughout the year, and are often conducted around a theme of interest appropriate to different age groups, including Adventure Camps and MAD Camps (Music, Art, and Drama).
