Committees
Christian Education
The Christian Education Committee promotes and supervises our educational activities including the Sunday School Program, Childcare, and Special Events.
Mission and Outreach
The Mission and Outreach Committee allocates funds contributed by church members into the larger church (UCC), including Our Churches Wider Mission, One Great Hour of Sharing, Neighbors in Need, Strengthen the Church, Christmas Fund - Veterans of the Cross. It also allocates funds for use in the local community including, the Southside Boys and Girls Club, the Eccumenical Center, and Linn Community Food Bank.
Music& Worship
The Music and Worship Committee is responsible for the basic music programs of the church and for coordinating services of worship with the Senior Minister.
Nominating
The Nominating committee recruits members of the congregation to fill vacancies on church standing and special committees.
Health Ministry
The Health Ministries Committee plans programs and activities that promote the health of the congregation, and supports individuals and families in the congregation who are experiencing health problems. Read what the UCC has to say about Health Ministry
Long Range Planning
The Long Range Planning Committee is appointed by the Church Council to direct the Long Range planning process of the church. It collects, reviews, and submits plans to the Church Council, which uses them to plan the overall work of the church.
Communications
The Communications Committee oversees publicity, advertising, public relations, and this Web site.
Technology Committee
The Technology Committee is responsible for recommending to the church the purchase, replacement or repair of the information and communications technology serving the church.
Historical Preservation
The Historical Preservation Committee identifies and catalogs church property which might be of historical significance.
New Members
The Worship Liaisons Committee Assists in making visitors feel welcome and guides them through the process of becoming a member of the church when they become interested in doing that.
