CommunionWe practice open communion. All are welcome at the Lord's table, including non-members and children under the direction of their parents. Children in our church family receive periodic instruction and orientation concerning the meaning of this sacrament.
Communion services are held the first Sunday of each month. Bread and grape juice are the elements we use for communion. Usually, members of our Diaconate distribute the bread and the cup to persons in the pews.
Communion is also administered at our Maundy Thursday service during Holy Week, at our 8:00 p.m. Christmas Eve service, and is offered individually to those who desire the sacrament in their homes.
